USCGC Eagle (WIX-327)

It is.

The premise we're working with here is that a mysterious cosmic event, capital E, has taken the entire island of Nantucket, Massachusetts, along with the United States Coast Guard training ship called the Eagle, and just thrown them back in time.

Straight into the Bronze Age.

Yeah.

Wait, a prehistoric flightless bird?

Yes, a literal prehistoric bird.

And the only reason it's there is because the Coast Guard ship, the Eagle, was able to sail all the way to a pristine pre-human New Zealand in this timeline and bring these creatures back.

That's wild.

You know, I don't care what time you got in last night.

But, but no, actually, you know, really y- the different things like on the Eagle, that was just-

... that was really quite special being, you know, pulling into different ports and being very proud of wearing the uniform and, you know, showing off, showing off the ship and showing off ourselves, I guess, to a certain degree.

Overall, we did good.

Our cadets became outstanding officers, bravo zulu to all of them.

And then on Eagle, I wanna mention Commander Bob O'Hara.

He was Robert Francis O'Hara from 1973, and he was really a kind mentor for me on Barque Eagle.
