We heard last week rumor mill, nothing...

USA Wrestling hasn't put anything out, but we were told, uh, the Kennedy-Belamere match up's not gonna happen.

They basically negotiated or collectively bargained the result, where Kennedy gets the, um, Senior World Team and Bella gets the U23 spot and-

Everyone's happy

Not one bit.

Uh, current manager of, uh, freestyle programs here at USA Wrestling.

Yeah, they gave me a great title, so-

Yeah

[laughs] Is that it?

... he's pretty good at making me look better than I am, so I appreciate him.

Well, you, well, USA Wrestling must be paying you some money then, so [laughs]

[laughs]

Um, how about for you as a coach and your assistants, like, do you feel like...

I don't know, like, you know, there's some coaches that will be at the NWCA convention or the USA Wrestling certified programs or, or maybe it's just something that you do on your own, like, you know, studying film on Flow or whatever it could be, but do you feel like as a coach, um, w- the sport just evolves so quickly, do you feel like you find yourself, like, trying to continue innovating and learning yourself each year, you know, trying to, just as you're asking them to keep getting better as a student athlete, as a wrestler, you're also trying to get better as a coach?

Oh, yeah.

I think for sure.

I know you're from Texas and Texas is one of the states that was kind of on the forefront of women's and girls wrestling.

But what was your experience like kind of getting into the sport and how did that come about?

That would've been better.

I think the other part of it is, um, we talk a little bit about, like, the, the fairness in, like, USA Wrestling, they're, they have to follow, like, certain guidelines-

Yes

... of, like, "Hey, okay, this side has to agree, and this side has to agree, and if we don't, then there's a mediator comes in." It's like this is not...
