So you know how we were thinking, wow, this movie was completely out of left field, super bizarre.

What was that? Well, Nick, I got to tell you, in the revival show, The Proud Family, Louder and Prouder, season two, episode eight, titled Us Again, they completely retconned this entire movie as a dream.

You have to.

If you're going to take yourself seriously as a show.

Uh, looks fun.

I definitely would watch it cause I do like these characters and even watching that episode was fun for me.

It was funny because the movie was called us again, uh, And as I was watching, I was like, this kind of feels like Jordan Peele's Us.

And that was totally a reference to Jordan Peele's Us for the plot point.

... and Jor- Jordan Peele through, uh, Us vibes.

Yeah, and that's a great vibe to have.

If you can capture that, especially, you know, in your first feature, like fucking kudos to him.

And, you know, I think you got to be on board with it.

And, you know, there's movies like, I used to compare some of the days when I was at work where I was like, The movie Us.

I'm a big Jordan Peele fan, like I said a few minutes ago.

I love Get Out.

Not a big fan of Us because I think Us has a lot of plot holes, personally me, personally speaking.

And then Us also introduces a lot of things where you're like, oh, that's a cool introduction, but you don't really follow through in it or it's kind of thrown in there.

You don't really explain it.

So you might be on board with this entirely or you're not.

That's right.

And Hannah, by the way, has been trying for ages to get us to watch Jordan Peele's movie Us.

I think this is the time to do it.

Did that take place during Hands Across America?

That's a big part of the movie.

And documentaries about both Harvey Milk and Earth, Wind & Fire are all streaming on HBO Max.

First off, Us, 2019.

The writer-director Jordan Peele set a high bar with his debut feature, Get Out, hailed as an instant horror classic.

But his follow-up offers another juicy high-concept hook, while amping up the intensity.

Us is scary enough as a home invasion thriller, with Lupita Nyong'o as a mother who protects her family from four masked strangers lurking outside her vacation home.

It gets freakier, however, when the intruders are unmasked, revealing themselves to be violent doppelgangers of unknown origin.

The Times critic Manola Dargis called it a more ambitious than Get Out and in some ways more unsettling.
