And her rivalry with Zuko.

Then you have, um, Zuko side of things, which is mostly backstory of time with him on the Ursa and them as a family, watching a play, introducing the idea of the blue spirit in his head was really nice.

Um, And it really just kind of gets into his fever dreams.

It's just good stuff.

These two plot lines come together, and it's just so good.

It's so good.

Really, my only complaint is I wish we would have seen more of Ursa in the flashbacks, and they would have used more from the Search comics and stuff.

But really, that's just more of like...

By having both characters exhibit the same qualities, it makes it so that Azula and Zuko's contrast is inherently weaker, and thus their conflict becomes weaker.

And that is apparent in greater detail when it comes to their mother, Ursa, the most harmful change to the character so far.

Ursa is originally a flawed character, stuck under the watchful eye of the abusive, powerful Ozai.

Ozai, who neglects his firstborn son, causes Ursa to take a great liking to Zuko, while Ozai favors Azula, who is the more talented, more ruthless child.

Azula is the child Ozai wanted Zuko to be, hence, lucky to be born and born lucky.

Whether it was conscious or subconscious, Ursa favored Zuko, showering him with love and attention that he did not receive from his father, ensuring that he felt wanted by at least one of his parents.

But by doing so, Ursa alienated herself a bit from Azula, who also needed her mother's warmth and soft hands.

Azula's behavior was rewarded by her father, so she stayed under his wing.
