Uranium City

None at all.

We see that same sudden evaporation in places like Uranium City in Saskatchewan.

During the Cold War uranium boom, it had 5,000 residents.

When the bubble burst in the 80s, the population dropped to a few hundred in months.

Moving on, the flagship for Exide Uranium is an early stage uranium project that's very close to Uranium City.

Again, it's in northern Saskatchewan.

That project is called Don Lake Smitty.

So we'll definitely talk about that later on.

There's obviously, I mean, it is in the basin.

It's close to a city that's called Uranium City.

So as you can imagine, there's historical drilling and a lot of historical work that's happened.

I can't think of them off the top of my head.

But, you know, like just certain references or certain names of things or like the idea even of Saskatchewan, Uranium City, Saskatchewan.

Like, I had no idea where that was or what that is.

And then when you do your research, you're like, oh, it's like the smallest of small towns where, like, hardly anyone lives, you know? Like, so then that gives you a little bit of backstory and things like that.

We're from every community from where I live down by the Montana border.

All the way up to Uranium City, there are trustees across this province that represent their communities and want to do great work for students.

How many school boards do we have in Saskatchewan?

There are 27 in the province right now, and those are divided into the public school divisions, the Catholic school divisions, and we have one Francophone school division that's province-wide.
