he absolutely did and so when you fast forward to that was 1991. when we fast forward to 1993 in this moment wow uptown records wow it has such a stronghold and has really, um, re recreate, not recreated, but has, um, re-imagined what R and B is and really what could it, it could be for the future because they've at that moment, uptown records, uh, launched the careers of some people that really changed the face of R&B and what R&B sounded like and what R&B looked like.

And so when we talk about the Uptown MTV Unplugged, you're talking about a marriage made in heaven.

Because if you look at the Uptown roster by 1993, you've got powerhouses like Heavy V and the Boys.

And so in this moment, Mary J. Blige, I think is at the forefront to me.

And I think that this was a very pivotal moment for her to prove her vocal prowess, her stage presence, all the things that people were picking apart.
