Uptown Comedy Club

And even with Tracy, I remember there was a show that would come on after Showtime at the Apollo.

It was the Uptown Comedy Club.

They had a sketch show.

And Tracy was on that show, and it was Tracy, it was Joe Clare, it was Flex, it was Jim Brewer.

I don't remember some of the other folks on it, but Jim Brewer had gotten SNL from... his appearances on the Uptown Comedy Club, or I mean, I don't know if that's the thing, but like I had seen, I was aware of Jim Brewer before he got to SNL because of the Uptown Comedy Club.

And similarly with Tracy, I was aware of Tracy because of the Uptown Comedy Club show that I was watching as a high school kid in Texas.

And Tracy would do this character biscuit and, And Tracy, the whole premise of Biscuit was that he was like a six-year-old, but he's the biggest six-year-old you've ever seen.

And people would say, why do they call you Biscuit? And he would say, because I'm a biscuit away from 300 pounds.

Yep.

I had before that was in New York, which was Uptown Comedy Club, also syndicated through Fox.

And I had been doing movies also and commercials also and theater.

So Mad TV was a venture in another place that I was completely ill prepared for.
