And it's on Ben Carroll now to ensure that if he wants to pass this law before the election, he can bring back the parliament.

I mean, it's Ben Carroll's job to manage the Parliament and to pass his legislation.

And effectively, we now have a situation where the Upper House has done its job.

It exists as the House of Review and it's referred this legislation to a committee to look at the changes, the amendments that were moved at the 11th hour by Ben Carroll and And it's on Ben Carroll now to ensure that if he wants to pass this law before the election, he can bring back the parliament.

That's his responsibility as the premier.

And the Senate has again sent a clear message to Labor, the Prime Minister and the Veterans Affairs Minister, scrap the bloody cap.

The Coalition, One Nation, the Greens, the Teals and the Independents, they all united in the Upper House again yesterday to block the cap on the veterans' allied health services like physio and psychology.

So what happens now is that it goes back to the House of Representatives where Labor has the numbers, but they'd only embarrass themselves even further by pursuing this ridiculous idea to save $748 million in the budget.

The Albanese government should be ashamed of itself for even trying to pass this through the Parliament of Australia when it's the brave men and women of our Defence Force who protect their right to hold a position as an elected official in Canberra.
