I don't necessarily want to get into the Hellebuyck saga right now in Winnipeg.

Well, you know, and with the other part that's interesting, because the thing with Buffalo with UPL, UPL's got a no move contract.

And the thought is, well, he may not approve the deal with Winnipeg going back the other way, if he's a part of the deal.

So it's a difficult situation.

Um, I mean, obviously they have UPL, but he has no trade protection, and so also if you're a goalie with no trade protection, you're probably not going to Winnipeg.

Um, and so it's, it's just a really, really tough, tough, um, time right now.

And, and he is somebody that I, I do think that being the American goalie that won gold and going back there, and the, and stuff that, uh, that reportedly his wife was dealing with online and, and just being, being there has really affected him.

If you

get UPL and... a good player for the Sabres, like, you know, still, you know, fringe bubble team.

Yeah, I think they would be a pretty decent team if they got UPL, maybe like someone who could compliment someone in the top six and the middle six.

That'd be a pretty good return.

But just, yeah, I don't know.

What do you get back? You trade Hellebuyck for what, UPL and what, two of the three goalies there?

I guess, yeah, it's gonna be one of the defensemen.

Like, let's say, like, the first thing I thought of when he said you don't need a, you know, big-time goalie bag.

Like, do they trade with Buffalo but UPL doesn't come back the other way? And to me, Buffalo needs to send a goalie out to make Hellebuyck work anyway.

But what does that make him? A first-run

exit? You're going to take UPL, and you're going to like it.

They could even use a UPL.

But even if they got Hellebuck, that wouldn't magically solve all their problems.

This team still has too many other issues.

Winnipeg is a tough draw for free agents.

I mean, the more we get closer to it, the more your three-team trade with New Jersey, Winnipeg, and Buffalo.

I'm just saying it makes the most sense, because UPL won't go to Winnipeg.
