And so it was questionable whether I was going to be able to run NAIAs because I was sick.

I just remember a hard interval workout that week up at Wisconsin Parkside.

And I felt like I had to win every interval to be able to race.

Um, I was in my freshman year at college at the University of Wisconsin Parkside, and I had just...

I, uh, graduated high school a year early.

Um-

And then, Winona State had a couple of chances, a couple of attempts on goal, but just really couldn't finish any of them.

Offense has been kind of the question mark for them, especially after their loss last Thursday against University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

You talk about cars.

Have you ever – you know how Parkside's in Kenosha, Wisconsin? I did know that.

And so I had pitched in high school and I was kind of a mop-up arm in the bullpen.

Funny story, my first appearance was my freshman year at Wisconsin Parkside.

And it was snowing and we were probably down eight runs.

And I went in with the bases loaded and nobody out.

We just got joined by Faith Quinn, midfielder and attacker of the Winona State women's soccer team here.

Very happy she was able to join us, and we thank her for coming in and talking a little bit of the women's soccer team after their game against Wisconsin Parkside.

They'll be playing Purdue Northwest 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 6th here at Maxwell Field, which will be the second Maxwell Field event.

We'll get more into that later.

And Mike is the only guy who's been at every Gen Con.

But, uh, to step into this athletic environment with the resources and training camp and everything, just as a sports guy, how does... uh, what does that make you feel?

Well, I'm thrill- thrilled about it and, uh, when I was at University of Wisconsin-Parkside as the athletic director and the vice chancellor, we were in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, so, uh, they always thought they had the best basketball conference, uh, in, in the world.

But I, I'm a believer that the MIAA is the best Division II conference, all sports, uh, in the nation, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Uh, and I, I, it goes way back to when I played at Wayne State a lot of years ago.

As I mentioned earlier, we need to lock arms.

We need to lock arms and move forward together, uh, and if one of those links breaks, you know, we fall down, so we need to keep it strong.

Um, you've been an athletic director before, as you mentioned, at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Uh, your first big job was at Wayne State, uh, as an associate AD.
