EP 216 - "The Art and Science of Mediumship And Super PSI" with Lauren Robertson

This is like new conversation to have.
L
28:04Lauren RobertsonGUEST
Yeah, so I am in the very early stages of doing a PhD under the supervision of professors Chris Rowe and Callum Cooper at University of Northampton.
L
28:16Lauren RobertsonGUEST
And one area that all three of us are very interested in is whether or not we can prove or show or even hint at the information coming through readings when it's correct as being evidence of survival okay so of the actual personality that we claim it to be so when i'm giving a reading to someone and i say for example i've got your uncle frank here i could be getting that information telepathically from you okay so that's one option or there could be this cosmic soup of information that we're all a part of you know something like Rupert Sheldrake's morphic field or morphic resonance where we're all humans and this sort of field of humanity and it's literally just inert information that I'm plucking out of that that I'm able to share and so that doesn't actually although it's you know, accurate and it's a name and it's really specific, it doesn't actually prove survival the way that we think it does if we entertain all these other options.
L
29:20Lauren RobertsonGUEST
So one thing that I'm really interested in is readings where the person in spirit comes with their own agenda And that agenda is different to what the medium or the sitter would want.

older sister also debriefed her on the amount of effort that she hadn't put in in learning the routine like all good sisters do right exactly but yeah that's important too honest feedback honest feedback is important she's definitely getting that from her siblings that's for sure all right let's turn our attention to the skills part but also maybe broader than just the skills I really love, and you know it, Bill Ribbarns, who's a surgeon and sports scientist at the University of Northampton.
T

He has a model that actually for humans, we should be able to balance the four S's, strength, speed, stamina, and suppleness, that every human should be able to maintain themselves.
T

And the relevance for that with kids is not about strength under the bench press, but it's about posture, movement control, injury prevention.

says, dear Neil, there was the announcement recently that the University of Northampton are extending their partnership with the club to 2030, which I assume includes the shirt sponsorship deal.
C
6:18CharlesHOST
Whilst I am not knocking this, indeed, it is a superb partnership, Susan Perb partnership, and has done a great work for a lot of students, including some dodgy bloke who was bugging off to Cheltenham.
C
6:30CharlesHOST
And has to be an extremely good thing for the club and those trying to find their way in the sports industry.
C
7:57CharlesHOST
Because you'd imagine that, well, in fact, I say you imagine, we know because of Wrexham, that one of the best ways that you can bring money into the club in a way that actually goes...

Now, no disrespect to the University of Northampton and certainly not for the partnership element that the club and the university have had over the years.

But I can't imagine, especially in this day and age at the moment, that a university is supplying more money than, I don't know, massive the new bank the new yeah new bank yeah or any of those or

So I think the MOD kind of looking and seeing that opportunity you know, that is somewhere they can explore and give those opportunities to.
J
10:19Jez KentGUEST
But I think as well, what the biggest change in the last few years was the study that was done into the expenditure on cadets through the University of Northampton study, where, you know, those that have been involved with cadets know that the good stuff that cadets get from being a cadet and the value it has on their lives.
J
10:37Jez KentGUEST
But what the University of Northampton study did was actually put a bit of a cost and statistics around that in terms of a young person who's a cadet is less likely to need the services of the NHS.
J
10:47Jez KentGUEST
They are less likely to end up in the judicial system.

And as you say, it's an investment.
