Is this the murder weapon used to kill University of Idaho students? Over 60 search warrant applications filed by the Moscow Police Department have been unsealed over the past week and obtained by Inside Edition Digital, including six seeking information about the sale of a K-Bar knife.

Now, it might turn up nothing, but it certainly got my interest when I was going through the documents that were uploaded and saw the warrants pertaining to a K-Bar knife.

Now, again, we don't know if that is actually the murder weapon or where he purchased it, but it's very, very interesting.

Me, personally? Never going to happen.

The use of investigative genetic genealogy to solve violent crimes has overwhelming public support, she said, but privacy concerns are still an issue in cases like the University of Idaho student murder suspect Brian Kohlberger's where the FBI accessed two databases that purport to exclude law enforcement from their services.

As a result, unwitting users could be submitting clues that lead detectives to their own relatives without knowing it.
