Yeah, and I think just to zoom out a little bit further to talk about the planning opportunity here, we've helped a lot of people with USS pensions and similar defined benefit pensions where they might be high earners so they might find that they're paying a lot of tax and they then say okay you know we might say you can make a pension contribution you can bring your adjusted tax down and one of their options might be to pay into the AVCs attached to their defined benefit pension The decision to do that is for tax efficiency and they might not be focusing 100% on the end goal of how do they then access the benefits and whether they use the AVC for tax free cash or whether they use the AVC as a standalone pension.

But for a scheme like that, for example, crucially, they've done the planning to be tax efficient.

and then as they get closer to retirement we can then start to say what are your goals based needs, what income might you need, what does the scheme give you and it could be a case of, as we said earlier, reinvest the tax-free cash if you don't need it or it could be keep that pension standalone for future flexibility and maybe a death benefits pot.
