Ellen's Energy Adventure, if it was still there, it was used as a bed and rest spot for so many people.

Would that have become your bedroom? I don't think I would have made

it.

I wouldn't have made it my permanent home, but I have also, I have taken a bench nap on Ellen's Energy Adventure.

I have taken advantage of the cool air conditioning, the dark, the seated, the bench ride.

I, you know...

I don't think I would have slept there full time, but I would have definitely, you know, it's important to rest and take those little breaks and I would have used it as a recharging zone.

Um, I remember, all right, scary, scary, not because this was scary, but scary because along the lines of the cartotaurus and dinosaur, this was just loud.

But in the, in Ellen's energy adventure, when you did the big bang and it ended with you crashing into the ground and it was this big, loud boom.

Does anybody remember that? I love that, Ryan.

I miss it.

What is your fact of the day?

Okay, my fact of the day, I actually think my fact of the day is gonna be, like, kind of a, almost like a funny little quip.

Ellen's Energy Adventure, Ellen DeGeneres had an animatronic of Ellen DeGeneres, and on the Ellen show she got, like, supposedly said animatronic.

It wasn't actually that.

Disney got ESPN back in 1996, so he has actually been on the Disney payroll for 30 years, and he's probably one of the most recognizable faces and voices in the sports media world.

Now, his direct ties to Disney, he provided the voice of the KNRG radio announcer for Ellen's Energy Adventure.

Mm-hmm.

Hmm, a defunct ride.

And then now it's the Awesome Planet.

Universe of Energy was where now we see Cosmic Rewind.

The World of Motion was like the past, present, future of motion.

So that was where Test Track is now.

We're going to change a lot of things coming up.

And then there was so much change that they took what was the...

the odyssey and they made the epcot experience so they took a lot of the pieces that they showed off at d23 and they brought them there to show people what was coming up uh scott i know that you're going to be surprised by this but i have a slide i have i have an image uh of this uh and talking about what was promised versus what was delivered so we got cosmic rewind that was a thing that was coming they gutted the universe of energy and made that remy's ratatouille adventure was added um from basically a port of the one in Paris, Moana, or Journey of Water inspired by Moana, I should have put.

Space 220, the harmonious, the nighttime show that everybody, off camera, he is shaking his head.

We jump on here, just have fun Sunday nights talking about whatever.

We're just buds that like to talk Disney, but hey, you wanna talk, what attraction, like okay, Frozen Ever After, Maelstrom, where would you go with that? And we could also, you know, what other comparisons? I mean, would you go Ellen's Energy Adventure or Cosmic Rewind? I might go Ellen's 'cause I can't do Cosmic.

I know everybody else would go Cosmic, but what are you gonna ...

We were, we were there the- But I love Ellen's though.

Um, well, not the original map, but one of the earlier maps, and you can see Horizons on the left there.

You can see Wonders of Life, Universe of Energy.

That, that separation of World Showcase and Future World was pretty big for me.

I, I loved Future World.

And very long story, slightly less long, we ended up building a home down here, and about a year after my last day at my law firm, we closed on our home in Windermere, a stone's throw from Cinderella Castle, on August 11th, 2017.

To give you a sense of the timing, I remember stopping unpacking for a little while that weekend to go ride Universe of Energy and Great Movie Ride for the very last time because that was the weekend that they closed down.

I think that was August 13th of 2017, and then the kids started school the next day.

Once we moved down here, the races became literally local races.
