It is the restoration of all things.

It is a universal salvation or restoration as God promised long ago through his holy prophets.

This universal restoration is a specific call to Peter's audience, but to each to whom, you know, to come to this time of refreshing, to a time of light, to the presence of the Lord.

We might imagine that to speak of this apocatastasis, or this universal, that it leaves out the particular and the specific, but of course just the opposite is the case.

In fact, that is the strongest argument against any kind of conception of hell and the greatest argument in favor of universal salvation.

So John 3.18 says, whoever does not believe is judged already.

Does that sound like universal salvation? No.

Whoever has not believed is judged already.

And then it says whoever, John 3, 36, whoever does not obey the Son, meaning believe in him, will not see life.

You have to start grabbing your favorite Sharpie marker, whether it's blue or black, and start blacking out and bluing out, marking out, circling and erasing.

Get out your whiteout fluid and just start fabricating your own scripture to try to make it work because universalism is a lie.

Universal salvation goes against the very nature of God.

He says, I'll stand at the door, and he says, I'll knock at the door, but he's not going to knock down the door.

What is this concept called universal reconciliation? Let me give you a good definition.

In Christian theology, universal reconciliation, which is also called universal salvation, Christian universalism, the ultimate reconciliation of all things, or simply universalism, is the doctrine that all sinful and alienated souls will ultimately, in the final end of all things, because of divine mercy and love, be reconciled to God.

Is that true? Should we believe that? Should we question that? Is the truth absolutely opposite to that? We're going to find out.

like Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons and other cults, Christian science, they don't believe that Jesus is God.

And so, you know, I don't include them in church history, except perhaps if I were to survey various cults.

Now, the Unitarians, of course, do believe in universal reconciliation.

That is, they believe everybody, you know, is going to heaven.
