Okay.

I went to a different league, the NCDC.

The next, the following day, and they were like, you're going to play, you know, you're going to play the rest of the games for the year.

And I was like, okay.

So then we were having the issues with the COVID and everything.

So they were like, we're going to do a bubble.

You know how the NBA or the NHL did a bubble? So then we had an NCDC bubble, and we all went down to Tampa, Florida, and we played an absurd amount of games in about a month.

And then we went back home and played playoffs.

And that is just another phase of development.

You know, I'm an assistant coach in the NCDC with the Junior Canes here in town.

And that's the word I use.

I don't care that kids make mistakes.

I really think...

The U18 is slowly going to go away, in my opinion.

I think now the NCDC offers two levels, or sorry, the USPHL offers two levels of hockey, or of junior hockey, the premier level and then the NCDC.

I foresee in the next few years that The premier level will be the new U18 or developmental league in order for the kids to move on and progress with their junior hockey level, right? I think what's so important is that when you're getting guys to develop and grow, why wouldn't you take a 16 year old, put them in the print level at a junior hockey playing with, I mean, there's still some kids that are 18, 19 and 20 years old at that junior level.

One went to play at NCDC for a year.

I'd have to say Bryce Millington's a good one there.

He's a beauty.

He played NCDC last year.

And he's a funny guy.

But trying to break those barriers to get onto those teams was really difficult.

The Quebec League opens up that more New England kids have more opportunities to play at the highest level of junior hockey versus playing with the North American League or the NCDC.

And, you know, Anthony never got through to the USHL.

He's a North American league guy.

Not much, man.

You know, the win is, is well and good.

I, I, I know that's an awesome thing, but I don't even take away from that.

I take away from, you know, we were able to have a great experience with the program, really solidify the, how good the Atlantic division in NCDC hockey is.

Um, and then at the same time, you know, have a really good showing for our guys in our program and, you know, whether we won or lost, I really wasn't concerned with it.

carry that throughout from that season onwards, and so I feel like that's been really helping.

You know, that season and then the next season when you played with the Rockets, both in the NCDC and the USPHL, it feels like to me, and I'm just looking at numbers here, right? I wasn't there, I didn't see, but it seemed like to me you were also probably building up confidence in who you were as well, right? Yeah, that's...

That's exactly

what it is.

You know, when I talked to Chance Gorman last week, one of the things that he and I talked about was sometimes you can play at the highest level you could be at, but you don't always necessarily gain the confidence in your game playing against people who might limit your ability to play at your fullest potential.

Sometimes dropping down a level sometimes helps there.

Is that something that you notice as well where, yeah, play at NCDC and you might get a few goals, you might, you know, score a little bit, play at the USPHL level, boom, your confidence grows because you're able to fully maximize your abilities.

Yeah, no, I completely agree with what Chance was saying in like the whole like comfortability aspect.
