It was a college then, now it's a university.

I taught many students at USIU, the University of Nairobi.

So I had a permanent job at the University of Nairobi.

Mm-hmm.

I ended up, like, building Malawi's first ever police website, so that was, like, my hallmark project.

And then around the time I was 18, 19, I moved to Kenya to study at USIU, the American University there.

While I was at USIU, uh, in my final year co-founded a mobile market research business called Juaji, uh, with one of my classmates.

You know, that was my first taste of venture capital.

We raised a bit of money and, you know, we had decent traction, but ultimately the business didn't work out.
