Epstein entered into a non-prosecution agreement with a U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida in 2008 and died in prison after the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York indicted him for federal sex trafficking crimes.

And the recently unsealed documents in Roberts v. Maxwell has made his case one of public fascination.

The names of the victims who have come forward against Epstein thus far have been widely publicized and discussed by the media.

After graduating from Fordham, um, she ended up, uh, as a clerk for US District Judge Michael Moore, which is what ended up bringing her to Miami.

Uh, after that clerkship was over, she was an AUSA in the SDFL for several years.

Um, she's got two children, manages, uh, to take care of all of this, and by the way, a husband who now works at the law firm that she was with in Miami, uh, Boies, Schiller, Flexner.

Well, she's no lightweight.

A source familiar with the issue insisted there was no disagreement, but rather cooperative discussion on how to proceed in the penitentiary face case.

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on Tuesday listed former attorney generals, a former FBI director, former President Bill Clinton, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as people all subject to subpoenas for matters tied to Jeffrey Epstein.

However, not named in the news release was Alex Acosta, who was the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida, whose secret non-prosecution agreement with Epstein created a spark that has turned into an inferno of controversy nearly 20 years later.

They're still trying to set it up like Alex Acosta's the one who made the deal.

And they're wrong.

It precluded the initiation of any and all criminal charges which might otherwise in the future be brought against forenamed female assistants or any employee of a specific Epstein corporate entity for any criminal charge that arises out of the ongoing federal investigation.

This demonstrates that, from the beginning, the defense sought immunity for third parties beyond the SDFL.

The government responded with a draft proposal that resolved the federal criminal liability of any co-conspirators in the Southern District of Florida growing out of any criminal conduct by those persons known to the U.S. A.O. as of the date of the agreement, S.A. 100, S.A. 105.

However, that language limiting co-conspirator immunity to the Southern District of Florida was removed from the final signed NPA.
