Um, but here I was really trying to think about, uh, well, what I noticed is that, uh, Trump actually in his, um, second inaugural address became, I think the only, I, I'm pretty sure I'm right about this, uh, the only modern president to explicitly invoke manifest destiny in his, uh, ac- acceptance speech, um, and i- in his inaugural address.

And, and, and the other thing that I think people have missed is that, you know, he, he, he made that speech inside the Capitol Rotunda.

Um, and now he said he did it because the cold, I'm pretty sure he did it because he didn't wanna have to compare his crowds to Obama's again, uh, and lie about it.

But, uh, but he did bring it inside, but it had one advantage, and one of the things the cameras didn't quite pick up is, and this shows you how deep this idea of manifest destiny is in our republic, the inside our US Capitol Rotunda, there are eight paintings around that rotunda, uh, four of which I would classify as some form of Christian nationalism or manifest destiny.

Like, so for example, one of them that he was certainly looking at was as he made the speech, he was staring at a, a painting, uh, called The Discovery of the Mississippi.

Uh, uh, and it depicts Hernando de Soto in 1541, um, there, and he's pushing, uh, his soldiers with a cannon into an indigenous village, like literally rolling in on the indigenous village, uh, there.

Or three, the congressman can find out if AI will secretly pay them large amounts of money in return for letting computers take over the Earth, which would basically be the same deal these congressmen made with the Chinese.
