so I was Air Force Security Forces, and my, my original goal was to play football at the Air Force Academy.

Hmm.

Uh, so that was something where, you know, I was the CEO of my body back then, and I was, every single day I was working towards that, that goal, that vision.

I was a Navy CB for 17 years.

Our battalion was decommissioned, and so I went off to the wild blue yonder, if you will, and went to the Air Force with Air Force Security Forces.

Going back to when I was in the Navy in 2007, I was in both Camp Fallujah, and I moved over to Al-Assad Air Base, Combat Operations Center, while we would monitor convoy security elements, third country nationals, KBR, things of that nature.

They were moving through the Al-Anbar province, which was from Baghdad all the way to the Syrian border.

Mm-hmm

... which is, uh, the Security Forces beret.

Mm-hmm.

We had that first, then they needed to boost, the Air Force needed to boost the morale of Security Forces, so they said, "All right, we're gonna give you a beret," and they happened to give them the same exact color as us.

So we said, "I don't think so," and went with a freaking cherry bright red-

I was only 17 when I signed up.

But went straight to basic training and thought I was gonna have a completely different Air Force career, but, uh, wound up settling on Air Force Security Forces, which is law enforcement in the Air Force, and that led to a 20-plus year career in law enforcement.
