United States Air Force Band

Tonight, President Trump greeting China's leader Xi Jinping at Joint Base Andrews.

The airport welcomed the first for a world leader besides the Pope since the 1960s, and featuring a 100-foot-long red carpet, the Air Force Band, and two B-1 flyovers.

We have a great relationship.

He wants to get along, and we want it.

We're big fans.

We know that you recently did a guest composer-conductor visit with the U.S. Air Force Band.

Can you tell us about that? Or maybe you can tell us about any other upcoming projects that you have coming up?

Sure.

Kelly and I were there with them and to honor them and say thank you for their service.

But they actually came out and the U.S. Army Air Force, sorry, the U.S. Air Force Band.

And that clip you're just playing right there, they came out to where we were filming in Ireland and were there dressing up and putting on our 1940s costumes and performing with us.

So we play a lot of songs from the era, a lot of music from the era.

And I thought it was kind of cool in California where they did all of this and launched the first thing, Spaceship Shuttle Enterprise.

The Air Force Band actually played the Star Trek theme music to that as 35,000 people were there.

And it's kind of cool because there's an Alabama tie to this.

Eventually, Enterprise came to Huntsville's Marshall Space Flight Center.

And so we would constantly be interring people into Arlington with a formation of Air Force Honor Guard, Air Force Band, and the Arlington chaplains would all sort of work together to have these very meaningful ceremonies.
