Unit 29155

In our September 13, 2024 episode, the Global Weekly Intelligence Wrap-Up examined accusations from German domestic intelligence agencies concerning Russian GRU cyber operations against NATO and European Union countries.

That investigation involved GRU Unit 29155, an organization associated with cyber operations and other clandestine activities.

Now, Unit 29155 is not the same organization as Unit 26165, which is associated with APT28 activity we're discussing today.

We need to be clear about that, but the broader intelligence significance still remains.
