Union Pier

So when I say Chicago and southwestern Michigan, It's because I didn't technically grow up in Chicago.

I grew up in a small town known as New Buffalo or Union Pier, Michigan.

It's about an hour from downtown Chicago.

So I was on the commuter train back and forth from there to Chicago a lot.

79 McHenry, 68 in Zion with a breeze off of Lake Michigan.

Earlier today and also where our temperature sits right now, 78 degrees for our high temperature.

That is above the average of 65 degrees and last year at this time 66.

I'm a drummer, composer, and producer living in Chicago, Illinois.

My song Union Pier is about a memory I have standing on the beach in Union Pier, Michigan with my oldest daughter on July 3rd, maybe three or four years ago.

Some folks were setting off fireworks, bottle rockets, and the sun was setting, and I tried to capture the feeling of that memory in this song, Union Pier.

So it was a chilly start to the day i think we'll have kind of a repeat of that tomorrow morning so i'll call it seasonably cool just absolutely gorgeous week ahead of us here this week with plenty of blue sky that is going to be with us during these daylight hours the weekend looks quiet lots of sunshine not excessively hot for the marathon on sunday well right now skies are clear the one area of the country getting rain is really from the texas coastline all the way up into the carolinas but in cleveland today sunny and dry first pitch will be around 64 degrees no precipitation in our forecast picture This week, 64 degrees, bright, beautiful blue sky, that wonderful, crisp-looking fall sky out there.

60 in Waukegan, and 55 degrees now in Union Pier.

Low temperatures tomorrow morning.

We wake up to numbers in the 50s once again, so yeah, very, feeling very autumnal out there this week, including tomorrow.
