I think the Solarium sentry is just kind of silly.

Like, like, I mean, imagine if somebody goes for a, underworld breach and uh you have what's that artifact that if you get to 50 life you can just trade it and blast somebody for 50

just have a aetherflux reservoir and solarium sentry and that's it that's the combo you know it's like go ahead yeah go ahead underworld breach i'm gonna blow you up can they play on top of the trigger yes but still cool um It's a three.

As excited as I am, it's a three.

We are seeing a lot of good Selesny cards that do good things in CDH, though.

well the other thing is this is non-creature spells so most of those will say instant sorcery so your soul ring is free now no gross your mana vault is free now you know Yeah, it's just silly.

Yeah, that's gross.

The fact that it's a green creature, so things, and this might not be as relevant for Etali, but things like, uh, Green Sun's Zenith can find it.

The fact that it's a legend, so Sisay can find it, now the Clam Chowder Sisay versions have a way to find Underworld Breach.

That's a reason to play Clam Chowder, if anything.

Underworld Breach and Brain Freeze and, and Lion's Eye Diamond.

Oh, yeah, that wins on the spot.

Black Lotus, you're going to take it first, every time, period, done and done.

So I got Lotus, and then I got Underworld Breach, which is the card that says you can play cards from your graveyard for their casting cost if you also burn three cards, exile three cards from your yard, right? And then I had Brain Freeze, the Storm card, which says target player mills three cards, Storm.

Storm is, of course, a mechanic that's for every spell that's been cast this turn, copy this spell.

So what you do is you play Black Lotus.

You sacrifice Black Lotus to play Underworld Breach.

You recast Black Lotus from the yard by exiling three cards from your graveyard and replay it, I don't know, however many cards you have.

Then you cast Brain Freeze, targeting yourself.

We need to be able to get to turn three.

And a lot of times like a turn one or turn two collector oof, if you're in the right seat order, can stop like an underworld breach win from happening if they don't have a way to bounce the collector oof.

Then I keep going back to like watching your game in the finals and there was a collector oof in that game.

The table still got rid of it.

And I also need to think like, am I only going to see it in the matchups where it's good? Like, am I going to have to tutor it? Because if I'm using a creature tutor on it, like the opportunity cost at getting collector oof means I'm not pushing myself ahead to get Shang-Chi.

I already feel an overwhelming number of choices of how many strong two drops there are when I go to like quarter calling X equals two that like I can't add another option for me because it's going to give me another opportunity to make a mistake.

because i tutored the wrong thing now i tutor collector oof and i shouldn't have done that if i pushed myself ahead i could have gotten myself another thrasios activation i know this is like such a specific scenario but i'm just trying to explain one option as to how collector oof can fuck me up by playing it in my deck we're like yeah in theory it's really good but a lot of cdh players kind of over theorize their own decks and overthink like oh well what if i'm in this spot well Well, how often are you in that spot? How often is this thing actually going to matter? Should you have just played another counterspell to actually stop Underworld Breach or Necropotence then? That seems way more universal.

The fear that I have with the collector oof is however good

People who are playing multiple different lines understand many different types of decks.

So let's say for the season that Guy's Cradle, Smothering Tithe, Underworld Breach are banned.

Like some of the most popular cards in all of Commander and in CDH.

You know, it's like those cards are now banned.

So it's like you found a different line to find success.

And now that the next season is coming up, you get to look forward to the reimplementation of success.

your guy's cradle of your Rhystic Study, of your Smothering Tithe, of your Underworld Breach, and continue to make your decks stronger.

I feel like it actually helps with refinement of strategy, not the opposite.

You're putting more cards just in general into your bin.

So if you're in Grixis Plus and you're playing Underworld Breach or- Or even in Rakdos Plus, if you're just playing a, a, a, a, that kind of list that's playing Underworld Breach and using Grinding Station or something like that, like we always want things in our graveyard.

Um, we're playing in black, it turns on threshold, turns on, um, delirium.

There's just a lot of aspects to Connive that make it really, really strong.

And as is pretty typical for like a storm cube deck, we have... not one, but two ways to sort of repeatedly cast spells from our graveyard.

So we have this underworld breach, which for those not familiar with the card, says that...

So two ways to recur stuff from our yard, and those both are quite powerful with the card Black Lotus, especially under World Breach, because it lets you potentially, as long as you're filling your yard, recast Black Lotus over and over to make three mana every time.

Obviously, costing zero is pretty relevant there.

An important thing to note here is even though you don't have that many cards in your graveyard right now to fuel the Underworld Breach, you do have Lion's Eye Dam in hand, and one of the classically strong things to do with Breach in Vintage Cube or CDH or wherever both cards are legal is to crack LED in order to discard your hand, which will then put a bunch of cards in your graveyard for Underworld Breach.

Sensei's Top in a combo deck.

Let's say you have a combo deck, like an Underworld Breach deck that has a Lotus Petal and a Sensei's Top in a Lion's Eye.

That's fantastic.

Gets your combo pieces plus a top.

Legendary Bilbo at Mythic Rare.

Spells you cast from not in your hand cost one less.

So spells off of Yawgmoth's Will or Underworld Breach or Bilbo's second ability, which is when it attacks, you can play an instant or sorcery spell from your graveyard or an artifact.

And if an instant or sorcery would go to your graveyard, it's exile.
