Underdark

nobody's got a calendar around.

I talked to Granny Tia this morning, but I forgot to ask for a specific timeline because I also hadn't really talked to her prior to when we left for our last little stint out in the Underdark.

And then before in the after that in the runes.

So I don't have a accurate timeline for her.

And so there's a whole underground village, not quite a city, but a village, that as you walk in, there's torchlights that are lighting the way.

And it almost seems like the Underdark, where there is no light coming from above, but only light that's coming from the vile luminescence of the rocks and the torchlights that are being lit by the other elves.

And you see roughly around 130 to 140 people.

... and are just staying there, not fighting dragons or going into the Underdark or hopping the planes.

Yeah.

And I think th- that's an interesting opportunity, too, if you build a game in a small town, is that you can eventually leave a small town because you make the rules.

Tavern tales across sunlit lands whisper of the Underdark, a lightless subterranean realm that is home to fabled races and ancient unspeakable evil.

It is a domain of primeval mysteries and unending war, a hidden world of cruel masters and hopeless slaves, filled with monstrous creatures that were old before humans were born.

Aboleths, Beholders, Mind Flayers, Eldritch entities of unspeakable visage.

And yet, despite the potentially greater danger posed by these and other horrors of the deep, it is the drow that might well be the most notorious of all the Underdark races.

These most dreaded of Underdark dwellers were once part of the community of elves that still roam the world's forests.

Now these dark elves inhabit black caves and winding tunnels under the earth, where they make dire plans against the people that still walk beneath the sun, on the surface of the green earth.

Drow society is infamously cold, conspiratorial, and relentlessly hostile even to its highest status members.

They're going to be dealing with the whole Tarrasque situation in town.

What we are going to need y'all to do is head to the Underdark.

This is where our source says the elite must be and track them down and stop them before things get crazier.

Listen, we're going to the Underdark.

It's quite dangerous in the Underdark.

The oldest elves are the Luir, isolated in the valley of Cynoria on Gwynedd.

The island later became home to a very old green elves and wood elves too, alongside drow and the Underdark beneath that.

Elven and half-elven sailors worked the northern seas, and mainland elves settled on Highport and Ventress, in the Coran archipelago.

The fae presence surged in the 15th century, when the barrier to the fae wild weakened very badly, bringing centaurs, dryads, eladrin, hags, leprechauns, nixies, nymphs, pixies, pseudodragons, satyrs, sprites, sylphs, ranging from playful to dangerous.

Norland's frost giants have earned genuine respect from the Northlanders sharing this island.

Oman's Fomorian problem began when forces from Vorthomil, loyal to Queen Konome, seized the island just before the Spellplague and later allied loosely with the Blackblood tribe.

A separate Fomorian group settled the Underdark beneath Gwyneth instead.

Orc cluster in the northern mountains pussed pockets on Oman and Moray, though the Northlanders cleared them from Norland and the folk from Snowdown.
