Under the Table and Dreaming

Two Step is great.

My favorite album was Under the Table and Dreaming.

Dave Matthews was my favorite musician growing up.

Probably still is my favorite musician.

Well, she introduced me to this album as well.

It was called Under the Table and Dreaming.

And I'm going to finish out with this.

This is of the second piece of vinyl on this LP too.

So you can tell it is a great one to have in the collection, even if it's on streaming.

Go and add that if you can.

It's called Under the Table and Dreaming.

Produced by Steve Lillywhite, a legendary producer.

But remembering back, like probably junior year of high school, we were all playing cards at my friend's house.

And his brother came back from college with Blues Travelers 4 and Dave Matthews Band, Under the Table and Dreaming.

And we'd never heard of it.

And he puts it on.

It's just, you know.

I liked Under the Table and Dreaming.

We got David Gray instead of Dave Matthews.

It's because it's a British book.

I had two older sisters that had massive, you know, the old CD books, and I remember sitting on the couch one day, like, for an entire Saturday, and I listened to every CD in their pouch and unfortunately did not find my band that day.

I was like, "That's not it." So I went to school, and I was like, "Can I borrow some CDs?" And literally just borrowed-- I was on a hunt for my band, my album, and I discovered Dave Matthews Band, "Under the Table and Dreaming." And I had many influences before this, but I didn't ha- like, I grew up with boleros, a lot of Spanish music, Luis Miguel.

Uh, country music my dad was obsessed with, uh, at the time unfortunately 'cause I was not into it.

Now I am.

Most of the songs I didn't understand what he was talking about and probably still don't, a lot of them.

But it just felt so free and so musical and that you could be on the radio and that be on VH1 and MTV and have such an artistic perspective with your music was a really big deal to me.

And so Dave Matthews Band was my first, like, my album, "Under the Table and Dreaming." Uh, honestly probably changed my life.

Okay, so I was much younger.

What do you think?

Um, I think, uh, I think Best of, uh, Under the Table and Dreaming would be awesome.

Yeah.

I think, um...

Yeah

... what, what album, what album would you...

You said you would do Under the Table and Dreaming.

I would probably do Under the Table and Dreaming, yeah.

Oh.

The release date of their first album, which took the world by storm, Under the Table and Dreaming, came out on the same day.

Yeah.

On the same day, September 27th.
