Umar Gul

I quite liked his batting as well.

I was, I remember a ODI against New Zealand when he had a last wicket partnership with somebody, probably Gull, uh, that went on for ages, and they nearly got over the line when they were dead.

Um, he had so much about him as a cricketer.

Mm.

Yeah

... or Sarfaraz Nawaz or Wasim Waqar, Shoaib Akhtar, even up to Umar Gul and all, there's plenty of talent there.

Yes.

Saqlain Mushtaq, Ahmed.

So let's start from the press release, which became the defining headline of this series.

You know, seven players, including the stand in captain from the first test at Headingley, Head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul packed off home after the series-deciding loss in the second test at Lodz.

Sarfaraz Ahmed had only been on the job for six tests and Misbah Ul Haq also resigned as national selector after this purge by the PCB.

Now, this revolving door of coaches is unfortunately not new for the PCB.
