Ultra Q

And so one of the projects I was working on recently was I got an article in the final edition of GFAN talking about the connections between Twilight Zone and And Kaiju, because I'm really interested in the overlap of the Venn diagrams, right? Like where does Twilight Zone and Kaiju, where does superheroes and science fiction all intersect? So that piece is sort of about Rod Serling and Eiji Tsuburaya's 66 Tokusatsu show that was based on the Twilight Zone.

It's called Ultra Q.

So that piece came out.

A couple of other newer releases that are kind of fun for this audience and this movie in particular.

I didn't even know it was that old.

I know it was like Ultra Q, I think, is the first Ultra.

I

think Kamen Rider was 1976.

No, it can't predate Godzilla.

Oh, yeah.

Ultra Q.

1966.

So we'll talk about how that went over.

Several music cues from this film would be reused in Ultra Q and Ultraman, which the composer of this film, Kunio Miyauchi, also worked on Ultra Q and Ultraman.

So you're using his own music.

Yeah.

good take advantage of that I got some hand puppets.

I got some Ultra Q. I

got Kanagon and Garamon Ultra Q hand puppets here.

Pick these up from Tokutoy Town.

Very cool.
