Instead, we're going to figure out why Ultra Beasts existed in the first place, why they were intentionally designed to look so alien, and then use five cards to explore what the TCG did with them.

We also have this week's community corner, including an interesting follow-up on the pre-release Blastoise from last episode.

And then we'll get into the news of the week, because there's plenty happening, right? Including Delta Ray, Mega Ray Quaza coming back, more 30th Celebration reviews, and some other new products worth talking about.

So before we get into today's five cards of the week, we're going to answer that question.

What exactly an Ultra Beast is? Before we start throwing money at Guzzlord cards, we should probably establish what a Guzzlord actually is, right? And the simplest explanation is, Ultra Beasts are Pokemon from other dimensions.

I mean, for nothing else short of just shining a spotlight on it, right? But there was another suggestion buried in that same comment.

And how many people actually know what an Ultra Beast is? I started thinking about it.

And that may actually be a fantastic question for this week.

Because if you're deep into certain generations of Pokemon, Ultra Beasts are obvious.

But if you left Pokemon for a while, came back later, or mostly interact with the TCG rather than the games...
