One of the big challenges in forest wa- forest watershed scale research is when there's a disturbance, uh, and you're left comparing undisturbed watersheds to disturbed watersheds, there's a certain amount of assumption you have to put in to saying, "Well, we're gonna assume that the undisturbed watershed or the disturbed watershed would've been similar to the undisturbed watershed." Well, in this particular case, they call that a paired catchment study or a before/after controlled impact study.
