Uhuru Peak

So, you know, it was kind of we were equals rather than, uh, than, than real, you know, the sort of the guide-client, uh, relationship that you normally have on, for example, uh, Kibo.

But, uh, you've been on Kibo as well on Uhuru Peak, I'm sure, right? In previous expeditions.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

And, uh, you are in the same...

I mean, it's just for us to understand, like you're in the same space as Uhuru Peak.

You have the same risks of altitude sickness.

And finally, when we reached what's called Stella Peak, which is... sort of a milestone to reach on the mountain.

It's not Uhuru Peak, which is actually the summit, but you're maybe an hour away from the summit at that point.

And most people say, if you can make it to Stella Point, you can make it to Uhuru.

So we made it to Stella and the sun just started to come up.

But when we got to Stella Point, one of our guides pulled out a thermos of hot water and and little cups and he poured hot water into cups for us.

And oh my goodness, it was like the most fantastic cup of anything that I've ever had in my life.

And so I drank that hot water and then we were ready to push to Uhuru Peak, which is again about an hour further.

You get there, what are you thinking? What do you do when you're up there? What were the emotions like?

And...

They spent the rest of the week just safariing around, just like seeing all the cool sights, all the animals, eating like really yummy food, like seeing insane stuff.

He took them up to this mountain called Yuhuru Peak that was like covered in snow.

And father was like, I did not know there was snow here in Tanzania.

And Momo was like, well, dude.
