UEFA A License

Hello, hello, this is Declan Link.

Welcome to part two of our interview with Simon Hodge on the pathway of a young up-and-coming coach all the way through to a UEFA A licensed coach.

You, you must have spent a heck of a lot of time away from your family.

So nowadays, do you hug and kiss them on a regular basis?

sport, education and community development.

You are a UEFA A-licensed coach with extensive experience developing players, coaches and people across grassroots, academy and community football.

Thirdly, your career has included coaching and leadership roles within professional football environments as I mentioned, including work with clubs such as Charlton Athletic, Gillingham FC, as well as education and community organisations.

And then the fourth one is the one I know you've recently got involved in, is you've recently secured a new role with the Football Association, the English FA, and you have been appointed recently as a casual coach developer for with the Football Association, working alongside the Kent FA.

He owns the Spartans in Scotland and already got them promoted from the Lowland League into the SPFL League Two.

And he's quite unique, you know, because he's got his own UEFA A License.

Uh, I don't think there's many prospective owners that have one of those.

And the reason he's got that is because he wants to understand from bottom up how to operate a football club, what it's like to be a manager.

Not much better to have around the AXA, isn't it, to be leading them young youth team lads and hopefully showing them what Liverpool is all about.

It says here that Milner has already completed his UEFA A licence and just has the pro licence to finish.

So yeah, almost there.

From what Dan Club's told me upstairs, looks like he might be staying about at Liverpool once his coaching badges are all done.

Yeah.

I have the UEFA A.

Through Spanish Football Association?

Yeah.

Football Espan- Spanish Football Federation.

Yeah.

I have, uh, the UEFA A, which is the second higher.

Mm.
