The court, hearing a batch of public interest litigations concerning the state's long-pending regional and development plans, summoned the Secretary, Town and Country Planning to explain why its earlier directions had gone uncomplied with for over three years and flagged concerns over a six-block hospitality project approved on the basis of Panchayat-signed drawings rather than a proper Structural Stability Certificate.

Centre sanctions INR 1.3 crore for 110 PMG SY roads across Udhampur Kathua.

Doda Region Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has laid the foundation stone for 110 road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana for PMG SY 4 batch I of 2026-27, covering 598.3%.

across Kathua, Udhampur, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

The projects have a combined sanctioned cost of INR 1303,533 crore and are expected to benefit 46,972 people.

The latest package is intended to strengthen all-weather road connectivity in remote and difficult hilly areas, improving access to education, healthcare, markets and workplaces.
