Bearing in mind that I actually fell into DevRel, I originally joined Canonical as an engineering manager and then switched to a community manager role in where I worked on the Ubuntu phone and all the apps that went on the Ubuntu phone and had a community built around the phone apps like music and PDF reader and clock and calendar and all that kind of stuff.

And when the phone project was brutally taken out and shot in the back of Canonical, sorry, handed over to an enthusiastic open source community and renamed Ubuntu Touch, is what I should say.

Then the whole of the community team pretty much was converted into the Snap Developer Advocacy Team.

And that was a bit different because when we were doing community management, there was a pool of enthusiastic people who wanted to contribute and were keen on seeing success on the Ubuntu phone.
