Ubuntu MATE

Today is extra special because we're joined by my dear friend, Monica Ayensu-Maddden, one of the most passionate open source community advocates out there.

Monica has helped shaped Ubuntu, Ubuntu MATE, Canonical's community efforts, and now she's helping lead communications and engagement at Thunderbird.

And she's not just here for an interview.

She's staying with us as a guest host for the entire show.

[laughs] So Monica is an open source community advocate dedicated to bringing people and projects together.

She formerly served on the Ubuntu Community Council and works as a communications and engagement specialist for the Thunderbird Project.

Her background in community building includes past work with the community team at Canonical and working with Mark Shuttleworth on Ubuntu Mate.

Nice.
