And in both of those, what you have is an Odysseus who is suffering from PTSD because he has witnessed the horrors of war.

It was really intelligent, I think.

I mean, the Uberto Pasolini film does the same idea, but to sort of center the drama around the idea of coming home, right? That sort of animates everything.

It allows Nolan to kind of break the film into segments the way that all his best films have.
