Uber Jason

Number 10, Jason X, 2001.

Kane Hodder once again as our main Jason and our Uber Jason, and I, this is probably-

Ah.

No shade.

I love the, that one kinda set the tone for everything about how, like, with the campers and, um, and yeah, the 3D aspects of it and the kills and all that were really, like, uh, really creative.

But for pure fun and enjoyment, I just love Jason X.

[laughs] I just loved the Uber Jason design.

Nope.

Sometimes it can just be stupid as hell.

And that's precisely what happens in Jason X when Jason Voorhees is turned into what fans have dubbed Uber Jason.

Oh, yeah.

When Jason went to space, he ran into basically a lady Terminator who fucks him up real good.

The fact that anybody thought Jason in space was a good idea is bad enough on its own, but deciding that Jason had to get turned into a cyborg for following through with it and then releasing that movie on the wild is it's, it's the kind of like dunder headed confidence that you almost have to be impressed with.

Oh, totally.

Uber Jason is my number three.

I remember that sequence with him fighting that lady Terminator.

the nanobots.

And then he becomes Uber Jason.

Yes, and becomes Uber Jason.

I, I, I have to say that in my head I was thinking, "Oh, crap." [laughs]

Yeah.

At the end of the story, without telling you how it happens, Freddy gets an upgrade, just like Jason's, but better in a way to make it where...

I'm setting up, there's a sequel I'm writing where they're gonna meet again, Uber Jason and Uber Freddy.

Uh, so-

Well, it's about time.

[laughs]

[laughs] But, um, yeah.

I was excited for Uber Jason.

That is why I backed the game.

Which

version of Jason? Would it be zombie Jason? Or would it be pre-dead Jason? Or would it be Uber Jason? Oh, it would be

Uber Jason.

Uber Jason.

Uber Jason because the little nanobots would probably imprint that data in his

head.

It would be like a transformer.

Uber Jason is forklift certified.

just like Jason's, but better in a way to make it where I'm setting up.

There's a sequel I'm writing where they're going to meet again, Uber Jason

and

Uber Freddie.

You have like Kane Hodder doing, putting on the ritz and yeah, that would be quite amazing.

So I, I think they should just do a direct, a direct sequel to Jason X. I mean, let's continue the Uber Jason thing.

Number 10, it would be cool if he fought, like, Jason.

Yeah, I mean, I've seen the fan art over the years.

Yeah.

Especially like Uber Jason or something like that, so he gets his ass handed to him.

Because, I mean, the Jason mask, it's changed a lot throughout the series.

If you watch the movies, the design, especially when we get into, like, Jason X and, like, pre-Uber Jason, the mask that he's got on and that.

And in... freddie versus jason the mass designs are a huge departure from like what we had been seeing in the earlier movies and i remember not loving those but like for some reason this one bugged me more than that i think it's probably just because it's been so long uh since we had a jason movie that i was just annoyed that what was coming out was was that but i mean i'll accept it if we if we can get some movies

for sure i don't think they'd ever previously like advertised like prior to a movie coming out because there was never this big of a break in between them so they'd never come out and been like here's our new Jason design where it gave people just a picture of Jason to criticize and pour over for months prior to anything happening that really built that I think so when you hype it up like we're going to see the new Jason design from Greg Nicotero and all this stuff they kind of set that up to have people pour over and criticize it almost which might have been a mistake

in the accident that leads to them both being frozen and so they're able to repair her body while they're reanimating her uh where they're bringing her back up to temp and bringing her back to life and they also use the same technology to fix this kid's arm

Obviously, the nanobots, they play a big role later on because after Jason gets kind of all beat up and blown apart, the nanobots fix him and bring him back as Uber Jason, where he's like a futuristic looking Jason.

So crazy.

And apparently the nanobots can not only fix tissue, but they could also take a hockey mask and turn it into metal.

they had to use what they could because they didn't have enough tissue to work with because he got so munched up by the by so spoiler alert uh there's a there's an android that works with them who's really cool i have to take another step back and say that a lot of the cast of this movie are also the cast of the show andromeda which is also a like a sci-fi space show a lot of them are in both and so it's kinda like uh... ever friend on face book who called this uh... jason meets and it meets andromeda because it really is but uh...

this android uh... get it goes through an upgrade uh...

so that she's able to beat up jason and defeat regular jason but then he kind of goes through the same upgrade process afterwards and turns into Uber Jason, which is wild.

And I don't know, it was at that point in time, by the time that that happens, so much other stuff has happened in this movie.
