Later tradition particularly associates this invasion with Ivar the Boneless and Ubba.

In the later martyrdom traditions, Ivar became the central enemy of the East Anglian king.

Edmund gathered his warriors and attempted to resist the invasion, but the East Anglian army was defeated.

Together, they spawned a dynasty of terrifying warlords: Ivar the Boneless, Björn Ironside, Hvitserk, and Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye.

Other traditions throw Halfdan and Ubba into the mix.

I do think that in the book, Abba was way more powerful than they did make him in the series.

After I read the book on it, I was a little bit peeved at how they portrayed him in the series on it.
