U.S. Route 83

It is basically Lake Sakakawea down to North Mandan.

We get a little slice of Mandan and then effectively Highway 83 all the way over to basically Golden Valley.

So every power plant, every mine, the Garrison Dam, All of that is within this district.

It's been home to me ever since I was born.

It's gonna be a story for the sportscast that night.

But while we're there, before we even had a chance to interview anybody, Kurt gets a call on the radio that there's a guy north of Minot with a gun walking along Highway 83.

And Kurt's, "I gotta leave.

Do you wanna come with me?" And I'm like, "Yeah, absolutely." So we get in the KMOT car, we start driving [laughs] up to Highway 83.

Well, all of a sudden we get to where it is, and there's a guy laying in the ditch on the right side of Highway 83 as you're driving north, and he's got a rifle, and he's got it pointed down the highway.

Immediately we pull over and we see...

And the cops aren't even there.

And in relation to the Burnt Creek Club, where would this area be?

It would be approximately probably 10 to 12 miles north and then west of Highway 83, between Highway 83 and Highway 1804 north.

Okay, so perhaps Shelly's car wouldn't need to travel further west to pick up this red stuff.

It could be found right here, just 15 minutes north of the Burnt Creek Club.
