U.S. Route 422

Now we leave the trees and return to the highway.

In March 2020, Route 422 is unusually quiet.

In the grass between the opposing lanes, two people catch a glimpse of something large, muscular, and covered in reddish fur.

Now, the witness identified as W was traveling home with a friend during the early hours of the morning.

It just so happened to be the weekend when the quarantine started.

A friend and I went for a ride to catch up with another friend.

We were on Route 422 around midnight.

It was odd because at the highway, it was usually pretty busy on a Saturday night.

Hey, coming up at about quarter to 12 or so, we're going to be talking with PennDOT spokesman Sean Brown.

There are two projects scheduled on Route 422 in the next two weeks.

If you ride 422 westbound, you may want to make adjustments to your travel schedule beginning Monday.

Just one lane would get off before that point or take an alternate.

We also have a crash on Route 422 westbound.

This is right near Egypt Road coming to a stop here just ahead of this.

It's hidden by the trees, but there is.

Quick check on our travel times and some of those trouble spots.

25 minutes on 95 southbound from Woodhaven Road to the Vine.

About 30 minutes on the blue route between the Schuylkill and 95, and 36 minutes westbound on Route 422 to Route 29, guys.

All right.

So you will probably want to use an alternate around that.

Out in Route 422, we're following a crash eastbound just after Route 29 blocking a right lane.

Travel times Going up a little bit actually heavier on that westbound side, 20 minutes from Route 202 to Route 29, 15 minutes in that opposite direction.

We also have a vehicle fire in Lower Gwinnett on Sumneytown Pike at Wellington Drive.
