U.S. Route 131

The news just said a car crashed into a tree and caught on fire, killing its driver.

The crash happened on Century Avenue, which is near southbound Highway 131, which if you're not from Grand Rapids, it's an industrial road that people take if they want to avoid the traffic from the highway on a busy day.

A few days later, you know, after the initial reports, the Grand Rapids Police Department confirmed that ICE had been involved and that the man who died was Guatemalan immigrant Mario David Coronado Juarez.

But they did not confirm whether ICE had chased Coronado before the crash.

I live in Lansing these days, but I'm from Reed City.

It's a wonderful community right at the crossroads of US-131 and US-10.

And if you haven't been to Reed City lately, go check it out.

A lot of good stuff going on, a lot of good people up there.
