Tyson Jost

For the Predators, a lot of guys, maybe it's an audition for their next team.

I mean, you think of guys, even like a Tyson Jost, for example, he's coming back on a PTO, professional triad.

So he is not on the roster right now, but he will be in training camp.

And it could be one of those things that even if he doesn't get signed by Nashville to come back, his performance at camp and in the preseason could earn him a new contract somewhere else.

what do we see? You have to go make those decisions based on what you're seeing right now.

And I think when you look at, again, players who are exciting prospects versus players who are ready for the NHL I think that's where you see a sizable gap like again Cole O'Hara being one of the the very few that are in that sort of right on the cusp situation in terms of like their prospects now they're very very close to being ready for the NHL if not already and Meanwhile, most of the other prospects we're talking about, Brady Martin being an example, I think are a little bit ways away and that's okay.

But I think this is an interesting point here about, I mentioned Tyson Jost being on a PTO and I think this kind of goes back to, This the same kind of crux of the argument that people had about bringing in guys like Ross Colton and Alex Kerfoot, these bottom six guys to to play forward here.

You know, the argument says I would be disappointed if Joe Scott signed and took a potential spot from a younger player, especially with the full forward pool.

Chris Driedger gets a PTO with the Vancouver Canucks.

Tyson Jost gets a PTO with the Nashville Predators.

Cole Lind gets one with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Carson Soucy gets one with Columbus, and I'm kind of surprised Carson Soucy didn't find himself an actual NHL contract.

Um, overall, this makeup of the team, I really liked their off season besides trading away Luke evangelist.

I thought that was kind of a bonehead trade still.

Like, Tyson Jost got a PTO before that guy did.

... yeah, and they're concerned about, you know, is Demko gonna be ready, uh, uh, for training camp.

So yesterday, UFA center Tyson Jost, who played in Penticton, signed a PTO with Nashville.

The Canucks did talk to his agent, uh, Tyson's agent, uh, about Vancouver, just didn't have the room.

Uh, Canucks talked to Ben Hutton's agent earlier in the summer.

Canucks have toughness in the likes of Luke Schenn and Jamie Oleksiak.

But do the Canucks, instead of going the PTO route, do they go and get, uh, uh, somebody on the waiver wire? Because guess who's got first crack at the waiver wire? Vancouver.

When you think of Tyson Jost, what's the first thing that comes to mind?
