And, you know, they – you know, I don't know that the depth up there is what they need to, you know, survive the rest of the season.

But I think those two in the middle of the line, obviously you've got Hutch, you've got Wanham, Tyler Lacy, they've got somebody – Derek Moore, it was the first series of the game, and I thought he did a great job setting the edge on one of those plays in the red zone there.

So I do think this run defense, along with the way the defensive line is playing as a whole, is something that the Lions defense can hang their hat on while they're waiting for Brian Branch and maybe Kirby Joseph to get back to being the players that they were.

And I'm going to dive right into that.

and continues to be a very good and different style of compliment to what we had with Al-Kadim Muhammad last year, opposite Aiden Hutchinson.

And when you mix Derek Moore in there, They're able to do different things with that end, and you saw Tyler Lacy play some heavy end in this game.

I don't necessarily like that.

I will give Tyler Lacy credit, and I made note of it a couple times.

He absolutely stacks the edge, doesn't get moved off of his point by offensive tackles, and there's value in that, but he doesn't really get into the backfield and doesn't really get off the block very well, and I think Moore offers more upside there than I think Wanham offers a lot more upside there.

Curious about if Ahmed Hassanine would offer more upside there or Eric O'Neill.

I saw somebody post this, the 2023 Jaguar draft class.

Um, Anton Harrison, Brenton Strange, Tank Biggs, be traded for collateral, Ventrell Miller, Tyler Lacy, I think might be starting in Detroit.

Yeah, he's starting somewhere.

Some, some, yeah, it needs some seasoning, these draft classes.

You know, some of those names that we're looking on now and saying, "Well, that's a good draft," they, Tyler Lacy never did a thing here.

We- I know people hate Tyler Lacy, but I, I don't think he's nearly as bad-

Um, and, like, w- with Gil Howard out snapping, I mean, that's just, Gil Howard has really just k- elevated his game where hi- who knows where his ceiling's gonna end up, because now they're starting to play him on the edge a little bit as well-

... and take some, like, Tyler Lacy-type snaps.

And he had his least snaps of the season.

over the weekend really and he looked the freshest yeah he in week three he was the only time he was under 83 percent at 76 he had only 71 and actually you got you saw the most playing time uh second most on on zurich a lot from ty tyler lacy and um skyler go howard tipped up a little bit but they're really using a lot of players to rotate through that defensive line um the the The excuse me, the one of stuff, though, is just is so impressive in the limited amount of time that he's being used.

But it's Aleem.

I know it's hot that everybody says sets the table, but Aleem is just crashing everything right now.

Obviously a foot injury in a big guy is, you gotta, you gotta be touch and go with that as well, so we'll see.

You know, maybe that could open up a big defensive end spot if Tyler Lacy's gotta kick inside more.

Alim McNeil, fourth highest, 73.3. [lips smack] Tyler Lacy, 74.6. Malcolm Rodriguez, 79.6. [chuckles] Who knew? And Aidan Hutchinson, again, a 90.2 grade, eight pressures, two quarterback hits, and six hurries for Hutch.

He is the PFF darling.

Didn't have a sack and still got a 90? I think that's generous, but he's playing his ass off.
