And, but it's removed completely from narrative, right? It's just that it's tapped into some other, other worldly horror and, that certain people I think believe in and certain people want to keep their distance from.
23:22
Yeah.
23:23
Well, I think like the horror stuff that I, that always really resonates with me is like the stuff that probably a lot of people wouldn't consider horror.
23:34
It's like, this is actually, I think this is probably an experience that Lynch and I shared is I know he has like a lot of scenes where people will be trapped in cars with somebody who is unhinged.
23:49
The person driving is like not stable.
23:52
And I have memories of like in high school going out and sort of like partying.
24:00
And I was always sort of the straight laced kid, but I hung out with a lot of people who would like, were looking for trouble.

As an artist, how did that episode land for you?
20:17
What is your relationship to Archie Comics? And then we'll do Patrick, and then I'll try to find some footing here.
20:24
like many people my age, I read a fair amount of Archie as a little kid, like up until probably like 15, I could still get comics in the grocery store.
20:34
And Archie's were sort of readily available.
20:39
And they were sort of like, a default reading thing for me, kind of had like 20 years or 30 years or whatever.
20:47
And I had moved to the Oregon coast and the closest comic shop was about three and a half hours away.
20:53
And the only comics I could sort of pick up on the regular was, uh, Archie Digest down at the Fred Myers.
21:00
So I just regularly started picking up, uh, Archie Digest and I really like started to fall in love with Archie comics because it's just there's so few examples of that kind of storytelling anymore of just like really short punchline driven stories that are character based like that you know and yeah I started to just really really love them and I love the I just love the format and the characters are great.

in a long

Come on now.
8:19
Yeah, trees are very – I don't know quite how to explain it.
8:24
I think a lot of it comes from – Uh, like, cause I, like I did the book Harrow County with Colin Bunn.
8:34
And when, when he first proposed that to me, it was like right after I had moved to Oregon from San Diego.
8:42
So I went basically from the desert to this lush rainforest.
8:46
I was living actually on the coast of Oregon.
8:48
So I was like in the rainforest and like, um, and I was just, I had just gone tree crazy.
12:54
So how do you tackle that? I mean, I'm sure part of it is the script from Patrick Horvath and others, but artistically, what's your
