Dylan HaughHOST

Boise State.
Dylan HaughHOST
25:09
I mean, the Ty Rogers injury is tough.
Dylan HaughHOST
25:11
You know, obviously he gets hurt.
Dylan HaughHOST
25:14
You don't even know if he's going to be back at all this year.
Matt NorlanderHOST
37:35
Just real quick on this.
Matt NorlanderHOST
37:36
Boise State has Ty Rogers, former Illinois player who's hurt.
Matt NorlanderHOST
37:39
So they're knocked as a result of this.
Matt NorlanderHOST
37:40
I think he's going to return later this season, but he's not going to start.
Eamonn BrennanHOST
18:29
done it.
Eamonn BrennanHOST
18:30
And The one thing that sticks out to me about this roster is the Ty Rogers
Will WarrenGUEST
18:36
thing,
Eamonn BrennanHOST
18:37
because he's been out of college basketball.
Eamonn BrennanHOST
18:50
And so it's looking like I'm not sure if he has a date for a return, but.
Eamonn BrennanHOST
18:53
He was a beloved guy at Illinois, was kind of a big get in terms of a mid-major down transfer and just has not been able to get back on the floor.
Eamonn BrennanHOST
19:02
So we'll see if he can because that was kind of the upside guy, in my mind, looking at their roster before dutifully Googling everybody's name and being like, oh, yeah, Ty Rogers actually hurt again.
Eamonn BrennanHOST
19:11
That sucks.
Ryan McIntyreHOST
16:58
I
Troy ChewningHOST
17:01
was going to say Boise State had a chance for me until seeing Ty Rogers get hurt for them in the offseason.
Troy ChewningHOST
17:06
I don't know if I would plant my flag on their stock up with him being hurt.
Noah BieniekHOST
17:11
How long are we expecting him to be out, by the way?
Ryan McIntyreHOST
18:08
So Colorado State's definitely the pick, though.
Ryan McIntyreHOST
18:11
The way they finished the year, bringing back those guys for Rukminich, year two, let's go.
Noah BieniekHOST
18:18
I'm kind of with Jalapeno Zags here saying, I think Ty Rogers will be back by conference play for Boise.
Noah BieniekHOST
18:26
So I factored him into the regular season predictions in the standings here.
Sam FedermanHOST
39:50
Pearson Carmichael.
Sam FedermanHOST
39:53
I would love to see Ty Rogers be healthy for this team.
Sam FedermanHOST
39:56
I just have no idea how much I can trust him to be healthy.
Sam FedermanHOST
40:00
Davidus Budka is back.
Jonathan LidskinHOST
42:53
You know, backcourt's going to be able to score if Washington is eligible.
Jonathan LidskinHOST
42:58
You know, I think there's just a lot of unknowns here.
Jonathan LidskinHOST
43:00
And, you know, I think we're going to find out, like, you know, in the first couple weeks, like, you know, maybe what this kind of team is going to be without Ty Rogers.
Jonathan LidskinHOST
43:07
And then, like, you know, we'll wait a little while and then we'll find out what they are with him back.
Ryan McIntyreHOST
16:58

Bill Self will pay you.
Greg WaddellHOST
35:10
Mason says Illinois hasn't had athletes like Quentin Coleman and Andre since Terrence Shannon and Ty Rogers.
Greg WaddellHOST
35:16
Mixed that with positional size and skill should make this team the best one yet.
Greg WaddellHOST
35:20
Do you think this will be Illinois's best team yet?
Alex KyiHOST
17:06
So I'm really interested in seeing Stephen Fox.
Alex KyiHOST
17:08
I'm wondering, do they use him as the primary ball handler versus Cincinnati? Because if you think about it, a couple years ago, who's the true point guard on that 23-24 team, right, Austin? You talk about Marcus Damask, that didn't come until later in the season, but you need someone that brings the ball up and initiates offense, right? Do they go with Merck? Do they go with Vox, Quinton? Who do they kind of go with? Because initially they thought it was going to be Ty Rogers, and then they switched it up.
Alex KyiHOST
17:37
So there's a lot of things that are going to be said, and Um, and, and to be seen, but Austin, if there's one thing that you could know, following Brad Underwood for the past, you know, eight, eight, nine seasons is that his teams at the beginning of the season are not going to look the same after the new year, right? He's going to make adjustments.
Alex KyiHOST
17:55
They're going to get punched in the mouth at some point and say, and Brad's going to say, Hey, let's switch this up.
RodHOST
20:57
But, but I think in the role he was in last year, where they bring him off the bench, they needed him to stretch the floor a little bit, chip in with some hustle plays here or there, it was perfect, you know? So they got the balance right after the year before they had to rely on him much more than was wise.
EricHOST
21:16
And then we come to the f- I guess we'll just say the sad case of Ty Rogers, 6'6" wing, who three years ago, was it four years ago now, that was the, the point guard, played base of the point for Illinois, and-
RodHOST
21:27
Three years
EricHOST
21:27
... did a decent job.
RodHOST
21:56
Yeah.
EricHOST
21:56
Go through the timeline.
RodHOST
21:58
We'll go through the story of Ty Rogers.
RodHOST
22:00
So Ty Rogers ended up at Illinois because his AAU coach, Tim Anderson, got hired on the staff as an assistant.
