Twister

Yeah, that was a pretty big movie.

And then earlier in May, just before this movie, you had Twister, which was huge, as well as the first Mission Impossible and Flipper.

So there were a lot of big hits going on at this time.

But yeah, so I think that it was just wrong place, wrong time, in addition to... just not being what the people wanted.

um

well so i want to say quickly kujo from 1983 not directed by anyone notable but uh director of photography yonda bond who directed did he no he did he was a director of photography on die hard and he directed speed And Twister.

But also I wanted to note that this director, who has not done anything very notable, he didn't do any movie right after Cujo.

And then two years after Cujo, he did a horror movie called Cat's Eye, also based on a Stephen King, about another killer animal.

One other story I can tell you is that we were in the studio recording a song for the movie Twister.

We were recording a song called Virtual Reality.

And there was a deadline.

And I kept watching this.

I was like, this is like Twister, but without a tornado.

And actually, Twister, I think, actually has a higher body count.

Well, because it kills towns, right? The crocodile only kills a couple people.

Yeah.

And I, full disclosure, I have not seen Twister, but I know enough about it from all the years.

There's a bunch of tornadoes that kill people.

And Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt were storm chasers, but they got divorced.

It's a great game.

I told my cousin that we were doing this, and he said, ooh, you got to watch Twister.

I said, no.

We're not chasing tornadoes today.
