So, like, for the draft, I had not prepared at all, and you just scooped up all of the records that I would've probably picked if I was at all prepared.
S

S
36:14Steven HydenHOST

okay let's continue on to interesting sounds twisted teens a band that i believe put out their first album at the start of this year and then put out their second album in july uh titled florida water blues i again spotify sometimes would give me a single that really sticks i thought this was a like a concept gimmick album at first Very specifically, there was a joke in the office where three of the guys have put together a band and Kevin wants to be the lead vocalist.
D
21:08DaniHOST
And they go, I don't really know about your voice, but like, if we want a song sung from the perspective of a frog, you could do it.
D
21:17DaniHOST
I thought that's kind of what this was.

39:20Steven HydenHOST
right, what's your next pick?
I
39:21Ian CohenHOST
All right, so this one... i'm sure well i know you're gonna love the record uh but i think this is like kind of a sneaky pick i'm gonna pick twisted teens holy cross tigers because i know it's their third album of 2026 but it's their first one on sub pop and i think this one is going to just kind of draft off the momentum of their previous two um yeah i don't know if their other ones were on metacritic but i just feel like it's their year and this is going to be an opportunity for, uh, P and I imagine it's going to be just as good as the other two.
I
39:57Ian CohenHOST
So, um, Fontaine DC twisted teens.
I
40:00Ian CohenHOST
I'm feeling pretty good about my, uh, first two.
S
40:04Steven HydenHOST

I
43:31Ian CohenHOST
um that one comes out this week uh it is called and no look man i i this is no fault of greg freeman but when i see the title of this album all set the bone i just think of when butler's saying
S
43:43Steven HydenHOST
who's gonna
I
43:44Ian CohenHOST
reset the bone and that's just gonna color my experience that by the way do we have to like get clearance to sing an arcade fire song here um let's hope that yeah god yeah we don't we don't want to run afoul of them um yeah i would say that like this album is probably gonna like i'm thinking like low 80s pretty high floor pick um you know the last album did well i think that i'm kind of surprised about like how much i'm enjoying this i was expecting something quite different um than what i heard on the songs that i've heard but um yeah fontaine's dc twisted teens greg freeman this could be like you know like a This is like an evil speakers, very evil speakers coded team so far.

The world's just a stage In this city The real estate's prime The number plates rhyme With equity We're gonna be proud With their breasts unallowed In this city Dream of the sky We're raking the clams It's neither here nor there North, south, east and west It has to be somewhere It ought to be somewhere North, south, east and west I take my payment I catch my flight And don't wait up for me tonight You may find me there And you may find me there North, south, east and west Have a good throw The face of today, just a scalpel away.
