Even that's borderline too far.

That's a month after Halloween

This past Thanksgiving, I was in New Jersey visiting family.

I saw a friend post that he was doing the turkey trot in Jersey city.

So I was just like, why not go run with a friend and do a race? Any friend, anybody, new Strava friends, whoever got a race for me.

That's in a nice destination that I can make a vacation.

What is the shortest version? A 5K.

You do the Turkey Trot with Rose.

You're very good at actually doing that.

Yeah, but those are more events than hangs.

And so we've got just a little over two months until Thanksgiving.

And so it might be a good time to think about, do you want to run a Thanksgiving turkey trot? Maybe with your family, maybe with some friends, but turkey trots are very fun.

They're very plentiful.

So most towns and cities have several options available.

Effen we didn't have a big stack of fat kindlin' wood lit up to dance by, sometimes the mens and womens would carry torches of kindlin' wood whilst they danced, and it sure was a sight to see.

We danced the Turkey Trot and Buzzard Lope, and how we did love to dance the Mary Jane.

We would git in a ring, and when the music started we would begin workin' our footses while we sang, You steal my true love and I steal yourn.

Attar supper we used to gather round and knock tin buckets and pans.

love it.

And I haven't run it in a very long time, but the Turkey Trot goes through Skidmore and that last hill at the end really kicks your butt, gets you in gear and ready to eat turkey on Thanksgiving morning.

They are turkey legs.

This is a turkey trot shoe.

And there is gravy dripping down the shoe.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So this is essentially a marketing device as a shoe that would, like, come into being, like, for this Turkey Trot event, and then someone would wear it.

I guess, did you imagine that this would have a life after the Turkey Trot event? Maybe the next Turkey Trot event.
