Hello and welcome back to this week's episode of the Turkey Hunter podcast.

And I am your co-host and the guy who is wondering what it sounds like when a dove cries.

And he's like, "Come turkey hunting with me." And I'm like, "All right, I'll go with you." And from that moment, I was hooked.

And so I think there's a huge, you know, parallel with that, fitness and I think Western-style hunting, but you still-

... gotta be in some type of shape to go, you know, turkey hunting and even-

Yeah, 100%

Um, but, uh, yeah, he, he brought me up in it, um, mostly deer hunting and fishing with him.

And then I got into turkey hunting, um, probably when I was 12, 13, something like that.

Um, but, uh, we don't have a lot of big bucks where we are.

I mean, every now and then you'll run into a, a good size one.

[laughs]

No, it ...

But obviously turkey hunting's a lot better.

Yes, 100%.

What the fuck's Flynnner's problem? How come he doesn't come out at a, or a, uh, you know, turkey camp?

I don't like turkey hunting that much.

Yeah.

You like drinking and smoking meats?

There's better places to run a trap line.

J- c- can we segue over to the turkey hunt?

Yeah.

My, my daughter's killed a turkey before.

Cause she's been turkey hunting with me, with the boys and I, but her friend never had, and they wanted to go turkey hunting.

So I took them out and you're talking about the dot.

I had a, you know, first of all, I'm going to send you a picture of my go-to shotgun, which is a Browning a five and that wicked wing bottom lands.

That's what I've got.

And reiterate the use of binoculars during Turkey.

I mean, during, during Turkey hunting, I use them more Turkey hunting than I do deer hunting.

Yeah, I really do.

Yeah, okay.

and uh anyway they went on to do their thing and i i pretty much boned that thing out by myself and when i finally got through hours later i had two of them giant ice chests i called my wife i said you you need to ration this elk because i'm done yeah i was 60 i don't know what i was 65 at the time but i was like Those days are kind of done for me, but I'm looking at all these giant elk in here, and I know we're going to talk about turkey hunting at some point, but if you just look in this room, there's everything in here.

But elk had to be, like, number one.

Yeah, if, you know, I got just...

That's exactly right.

When you

have promised me you're going to go turkey hunting with me this year.

Oh,

I'm coming for you.

I think there's something to that, and that's that mental thing, too, because the guy that I go down to Turkey Hunt with in PA, he told me one day that he has a Benelli, and he's like, nothing walks away when I have that gun in my hand.

Dude, that's what I feel, too.

It's just one of those, and he goes, one year...

Uh, but also, like, I don't know why everyone around me is such an Ozploitation freak, but, like, I, I missed the memo to, oh, watch all the Ozploitation films.
