Tulip festival

I just can't.

It's like the Tulip Festival.

You know, people rave about it.

And I'm like, look, if you're into that, cool.

Mm-hmm.

during the Tulip Festival and try and get a parking spot down there.

You can't get it.

It's absolutely full of tourists.

It becomes a part of you.

And I think when we passively walk by someone's grass, we passively ba- walk by a garden, we can appreciate the, the Tulip Festival in Ottawa when I walk by it, but when my tulips in my garden grow, I have a sense of pride.

And I think as leaders, as, as immigrants to a new country, as, as refugees, when we toil over and make this home through service, w- when we help other people, we find our place of belonging.

But I think we've been told that we need to go and find belonging as if it's something you search for.

You know, tourism, like a pumpkin patch or something like that on agricultural land.

And, uh, agritourism's obviously a big thing in Skagit County, uh, because of the Tulip Festival, uh, as well as, um, you know, other agr- agritourism ventures.

Mm-hmm.

And so I was sort of looking into the history of that, and someone mentioned to me, uh, a, a longtime farmer in the area mentioned to me that there was this history of green peas, that they used to be so big in Skagit County.

We are still finding new ways to surprise our guests, and we cannot wait to welcome them back this October.

The site is a fourth-generation family farm run by the Bear family and hosts several seasonal events beyond the haunt, including the Tully's Pumpkin Festival, a Christmas Light Festival, a Tulip Festival, and an escape room business.

when that happens, and I'm gonna be like, don't cut them, but it was for the bulbs.

This market will showcase a range of local artists, designers and makers, handmade jewelry, ceramics, all of the whole shebang, all of every little trinket that you really need, which is fantastic.

We've also got the Tulip Festival on along with the Cherry Hill Blossom Festival because it is springtime and it's a time to recognize and celebrate all the wonderful flora and fauna we have going on.

We've also got the Finders Keepers Market going on through October 9th to October 11th, which is another great one where you can find all your trinkets and all of your little artisanal needs as well.

And lastly, one that I am very excited for before we throw to a song here is the Reset Festival.

And that is a long-standing relationship with a nursery called Blom's Belves, who just won their 70th gold at Chelsea.

I mean, I love tulips anyway, so to have these beautiful displays throughout the garden is really amazing.

Amazing.

May bank holiday weekend.
